Purdue University’s Institute for Social Empowerment through Entrepreneurship and Knowledge (ISEEK) is developing and implementing scalable, repeatable and sustainable intervention models using information and communication technology (ICT) with a goal of empowering world’s disadvantaged youth, especially young women, for raising themselves out of poverty. Project “Saksham” is ISEEK’s pilot project based in India, Bulgaria, and the US that will help raise nearly 1300 young women out of poverty in the next 12-18 months. ISEEK will achieve its goals by providing access to knowledge, access to capital, access to market, and access to talent over an innovative ICT platform.
